What Is Magnum 4D?

Magnum 4D is one of Malaysia's oldest and most recognized lottery operators, licensed under the government's gaming regulations. Players choose a 4-digit number from 0000 to 9999 and win prizes if their number matches any of the drawn winning numbers. Draws are held three times per week — Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday — plus special draws on selected public holidays.

The Draw Format

Each standard Magnum 4D draw produces 23 winning numbers in the following prize categories:

  • 1 × First Prize
  • 1 × Second Prize
  • 1 × Third Prize
  • 10 × Starter Prizes
  • 10 × Consolation Prizes

All 23 numbers are independently drawn, so no two prize categories share the same number in a single draw.

Bet Types at Magnum 4D

Standard Big and Small Bets

Like all major 4D operators, Magnum offers Big and Small bet options:

  • Big: Eligible for all 5 prize tiers (1st through Consolation)
  • Small: Eligible for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Prize only — higher payout if matched

Magnum Life

Magnum also offers a game called Magnum Life, which uses an 8-digit number format. Players who match the drawn 8-digit number can win a lifetime annuity. This is a separate product with its own rules and draw schedule.

4D Jackpot

Magnum's 4D Jackpot game requires players to pick two 4-digit numbers. If both numbers match the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd Prize in the correct combination, players win the Jackpot prize. It's a higher-difficulty, higher-reward format layered on top of the standard draw.

How Prizes Are Calculated

Prizes are based on your bet type and stake amount. Here's a simplified example using RM1 stakes:

3rd PrizeRM500RM1,000

These are indicative figures based on publicly available information. Always verify current rates at official Magnum outlets or the Magnum website.

How to Place a Bet

  1. Visit any authorized Magnum 4D outlet in Malaysia.
  2. Fill in a betting slip with your chosen 4-digit number(s).
  3. Select Big or Small, and your desired stake amount.
  4. Pay and receive your printed ticket — keep it safe!
  5. Check results after the draw via the official Magnum website, app, or outlet.

Claiming Your Prize

Prizes can typically be claimed at any Magnum outlet. Larger prizes (above a certain threshold) may require you to visit a Magnum branch office and present valid identification along with your winning ticket. Prizes must be claimed within a set validity period — typically 182 days from the draw date — so don't delay.

Key Rules to Remember

  • You must be at least 18 years old to purchase a ticket.
  • Lost or damaged tickets may not be honored — keep your ticket in good condition.
  • Bets must be placed before the draw closes (cut-off times vary by outlet).
  • Winning is determined solely by the officially drawn numbers — no appeals after the draw.
