What Is Magnum 4D?
Magnum 4D is one of Malaysia's oldest and most recognized lottery operators, licensed under the government's gaming regulations. Players choose a 4-digit number from 0000 to 9999 and win prizes if their number matches any of the drawn winning numbers. Draws are held three times per week — Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday — plus special draws on selected public holidays.
The Draw Format
Each standard Magnum 4D draw produces 23 winning numbers in the following prize categories:
- 1 × First Prize
- 1 × Second Prize
- 1 × Third Prize
- 10 × Starter Prizes
- 10 × Consolation Prizes
All 23 numbers are independently drawn, so no two prize categories share the same number in a single draw.
Bet Types at Magnum 4D
Standard Big and Small Bets
Like all major 4D operators, Magnum offers Big and Small bet options:
- Big: Eligible for all 5 prize tiers (1st through Consolation)
- Small: Eligible for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Prize only — higher payout if matched
Magnum Life
Magnum also offers a game called Magnum Life, which uses an 8-digit number format. Players who match the drawn 8-digit number can win a lifetime annuity. This is a separate product with its own rules and draw schedule.
4D Jackpot
Magnum's 4D Jackpot game requires players to pick two 4-digit numbers. If both numbers match the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd Prize in the correct combination, players win the Jackpot prize. It's a higher-difficulty, higher-reward format layered on top of the standard draw.
How Prizes Are Calculated
Prizes are based on your bet type and stake amount. Here's a simplified example using RM1 stakes:
| Prize Tier | Big (RM1) | Small (RM1) |
|---|---|---|
| 1st Prize | RM2,500 | RM3,500 |
| 2nd Prize | RM1,000 | RM2,000 |
| 3rd Prize | RM500 | RM1,000 |
| Starter Prize | RM180 | — |
| Consolation Prize | RM60 | — |
These are indicative figures based on publicly available information. Always verify current rates at official Magnum outlets or the Magnum website.
